Welcome to the Division C Graduate Student Resources Website!  For the most up to date Division C Graduate Student Information, check out our blog: http://aera-divc-gsc.blogspot.com/

**NEW** Now Accepting Applications for Division C GSC Officer Positions

Open positions: Junior Co-Chair & Junior Representative

Both open positions are two-year terms that begin at the conclusion of the 2012 AERA Annual Meeting.  Each year the junior positions become available as the current junior officers move into the senior positions.  Your graduation date should occur after or at the conclusion of your second year of service. No prior service to AERA is required, but an interest in building and maintaining the graduate community for Division C is a must!

Please visit our blog at: http://aera-divc-gsc.blogspot.com/ for more information and a list of job duties.  The deadline for applications is January 27, 2011.  Your application should consist of:

  1. The online application (link can be found on the blog).
  2. Two letters of reference emailed to jmcgee21@uncc.edu & ywkreher@syr.edu
  3. A current C.V. emailed to jmcgee21@uncc.edu & ywkreher@syr.edu

All materials must be received by January 27, 2011 in order for your application to be considered complete.  Review of applications will occur in early February.  Phone interviews will be conducted for finalists and all applications will be contacted by mid-February regarding our decision.

For questions or more information, please contact jmcgee21@uncc.edu.

2011-2012 Division C Graduate Student Officers

The 2011-2012 Graduate Student Committee consists of the following students who are supervised by Dr. Linnenbrink-Garcia and Dr. Gale Sinatra.

Graduate Student Co-Chairs
The graduate student co-chairs are responsible for providing Division C graduate students with resources that facilitate growth as scholars.  An aim of the Co-Chairs is facilitating communication between Division C graduate students across the globe, primarily through the Campus Liaisons, newsletters, AERA business meetings, and this website.  The co-chairs also plan a special session at AERA that is generally focused on new directions in teaching and learning.  The goal of this session is to bring members together to engage in a collaborative discussion on a contemporary topic. In recent years, Co-Chairs also help coordinate a social event for Division C graduate student members.

Campus Liaisons
Campus Liaisons help disseminate important information to fellow graduate students on their campuses
such as AERA resources, activities, and opportunities for graduate students. This group also provides important feedback to the Division C Graduate Co-Chairs and GSC Representatives on important issues throughout the year.  We seek to expand the Liaison network – both in terms of number of campuses involved and in terms of interactions with each other and Division C graduate student leadership. By becoming a campus liaison, you will support AERA, promote your university, and have an opportunity to grow as a Learning and Instruction scholar.

If you have an interest in becoming a campus liaison, please contact Brittany Hott (bhott@gmu.edu).
