Call for Chapter Proposals for the book Artificial Intelligence in Qualitative Inquiry: A Grimoire of Conjuring, Haunting, Trespassing, and Doubling.
Brief description: We are inviting proposals for chapters for the upcoming book titled Artificial Intelligence in Qualitative Inquiry: A Grimoire of Conjuring, Haunting, Trespassing, and Doubling. This book invites contributors to explore what AI might make possible within and around qualitative inquiry beyond efficiency and automation. The volume begins from a simple question: What does AI allow qualitative researchers to do, see, become, or imagine that might otherwise remain unavailable? Organized around four movements—conjuring, haunting, trespassing, and doubling—the collection welcomes experimental engagements with human and machinic voices, methods, materials, and ways of knowing.
Proposals due (500-750 words) by October 15, 2026
Draft manuscripts due by June 1, 2027
