This section encourages submissions that advance quantitative research, methods, practice, and statistical theory as applied to the broad field of education research. We invite submissions that develop and evaluate new statistical and quantitative research models or tools, demonstrate improvements of new/updated approaches over existing methods, and/or promote novel uses of quantitative methodologies in education research and practice. The section welcomes work that leverages quantitative methods to address complex educational questions across diverse contexts and systems. In keeping with the 2027 Annual Meeting theme, “Transcending Borders and Boundaries in Education Research: Toward a Beloved Global Community,” we seek work that is methodologically rigorous, theoretically grounded, and attentive to how statistical and quantitative approaches extend beyond conventional methodological, disciplinary, and contextual boundaries. We are particularly interested in work that advances generalizable methods, engages complex or large-scale data, or applies quantitative approaches across varied populations, settings, or systems.
