AERA Division D is pleased to offer a mentoring opportunity for graduate students and early career professionals to engage with established professionals in the following fields of research:

• Measurement, Psychometrics, and Assessment
• Statistical Theory and Quantitative Methodologies
• Qualitative Methodologies
• Multiple and Mixed Methodologies

The Division D Mentoring Session will be held during AERA 2026:

Date: Saturday, April 11

Time: 11:45am - 1:15pm PDT

Location: InterContinental Los Angeles Downtown, 5th Floor – Wilshire Grand Ballroom II

 The session will provide an opportunity for mentees to engage in small-group, roundtable discussions with mentors on topics of interest to emerging professionals. Potential specific topics include (but are not limited to):

• Understanding employment pathways in different sectors
• Pursuing professional development and research training (e.g., postdoctoral positions)
• Improving job search and application strategies
• Pre-dissertation strategies and advice
• Completing the dissertation
• Getting research funded
• Artificial intelligence and educational technology
• Navigating methodological work in the current sociopolitical climate
• Publishing

Registration will remain open until the event; however, to assist with planning, mentees are strongly encouraged to register by March 15, 2026. Additional logistical details will be emailed to registered participants closer to the conference date.
