AERA President Rich Milner and the 2023 Presidential Program co-chairs have developed 45 presidential sessions that contribute to the 2023 Annual Meeting theme, “Interrogating Consequential Education Research in Pursuit of Truth,” which focuses on ensuring equitable processes and results through education research. Read more

Invites to Create Posters in the AERA Interactive Presentation Gallery to Be Sent Mid-February​
In mid-February, first-listed authors of accepted papers for the 2023 Annual Meeting will receive an introductory email from AERA followed by an invitation to create their presentations in the AERA 2023 Interactive Presentation Gallery. Read more

AERA has announced the selection of three proposals to receive funding through the Education Research Conferences Program. Read more

In Memoriam

AERA members who have recently passed away

Christina Hong Paguyo, 43, died on January 3. She was an Inclusive Learning and Development Strategist at Google and was awarded the AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship in 2012–2013. Read more

Paul Goldman died on January 5. He was an educational consultant and principal at Corvo Partners and retired from Washington State University in 2012.

Stafford Hood died on January 16. He was Professor Emeritus of Curriculum and Instruction and Director Emeritus of the Center for Culturally Responsive Evaluation and Assessment (CREA) at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Read more
