AERA has released the redesigned Online Paper Repository with papers added from both the 2021 and 2022 annual meetings. Visitors to the repository will immediately see the inviting new look that includes a new color palette, graphics from each of the annual meetings, and improved functionality. In addition to a more user-friendly year-by-year search engine, users can search by division, SIG, author, and advanced search.  The repository also includes a prominent quick link to the i-Presentation Gallery, another open access resource that gives researchers worldwide an easy-to-use vehicle to view Annual Meeting presentations in a dynamic format. 

“I am thrilled that the new, improved repository is now available,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “Along with the i-Presentation Gallery, the repository offers users access to scholarly content; the repository is a treasure trove of papers at an early stage of the knowledge production process, providing access to work and to authors well before reading final published work at a later point down the line.”

The repository is an open access resource with thousands of full-text papers—constituting nearly half of the papers accepted or invited for AERA annual meetings since 2010—which are voluntarily shared in the repository by annual meeting authors. The repository also includes abstracts of all papers from annual meetings during this period. Each paper added since 2017 includes a digital object identifier (DOI): a persistent identifier that makes authors’ work easier to discover, locate, and cite. 

For this year, 4,062 full-text papers presented at the 2022 AERA Annual Meeting were added to the repository, and for last year, 3,996 papers were added from the 2021 meeting. In total, nearly 50,000 papers from the past 12 AERA annual meetings are available online.
