Invites to Create Presentations in the AERA Interactive Presentation Gallery to Be Sent Mid-February

January 2023

In mid-February, first-listed authors of accepted papers for the 2023 Annual Meeting will receive an introductory email from AERA followed by an invitation to create their presentations in the AERA 2023 Interactive Presentation (i-Presentation) Gallery. The invitations will come directly from iPoster and will provide authors with instructions on how to create presentations.

The invitations will go to all authors whether presenting papers on site in Chicago (April 13–16) or on the virtual Annual Meeting platform (May 4–5).

The i-Presentation Gallery will host and is the home for all poster presentations. In addition, authors of papers presented in symposia, paper sessions, roundtables, or structured poster sessions are welcome to use the gallery to host their presentations.

The i-Presentation Gallery offers the opportunity to create an engaging web-based presentation. Authors also have the option to simply upload a PDF of their PowerPoint (or other presentation mode) and still benefit from the numerous advantages of the gallery. Among other features, all presentations in the gallery will receive a digital object identifier (DOI), which will make work more easily citable, discoverable, and will authenticate the presentation’s time and date. All authors creating presentations or uploading a PDF are strongly encouraged to prepare oral narration to provide an overview of their paper.

The Interactive Presentation Gallery was developed and is operated by the vendor iPoster, and their team offers exceptional, efficient support on the creation site. As last year, AERA will be offering online training sessions in early March (dates to be announced) that will be recorded and available on the AERA website.

Individuals presenting posters on site in Chicago will be able to show their interactive presentations on 46-inch high-definition screens with touch controls. Papers accepted for poster presentation on the virtual platform will be available once the authors have published their presentations and available to viewers at any time.  Authors presenting on the virtual platform will be able to schedule live chats or use their own video provider to schedule times to meet.

For more information about the gallery and to view 2020–22 paper presentations, visit the i-Presentation Gallery page on the AERA website.
