AERA has reached out to members and friends of education research to urge end-of-year giving. The AERA “ask” is focused on vital sets of activities supported through the AERA Minority Fellowship Program Fund and the Congressional Fellowship Program Fund.

“Now, more than ever before, it is important to ramp up our programs and initiatives to continue to educate and advocate for high-quality research,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “Contributions large and small can make a difference in AERA’s goals of building capacity for the next generation of scholars and strengthening the voice of education researchers in the policy-making process.”

AERA dues are essential to the continuing operations of the association, including programmatic emphases. Donations and grants are essential to support initiatives that are major in scope, purpose, and visibility.

  • For nearly three decades, the AERA Minority Fellowship Program has supported the dissertation research and professional development of outstanding graduate students from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups. Many past fellows are now active researchers, across a range of research settings, and leaders in the field. Donate now

  • The AERA Congressional Fellowship Program offers members a chance to participate first-hand in the policy making process and to use education research to inform policy. Since 2016, AERA Congressional Fellows have been contributing to the development of key education policies. Donate now

Primarily through an email campaign, the association is seeking contributions to these two dedicated funds. AERA encourages all readers of this “ask” story to invest in the next generation of a broad and diverse scholarly community.
