Dear AERA Members,

The work of AERA’s standing and award committees relies on professional service by our members, with support from the central office staff and the association’s volunteer leadership. As president-elect, I am pleased to invite you to submit recommendations to serve on AERA’s committees—either for yourself or colleagues. As members of the largest association for education research and scholarship in the world, we welcome active participation from members who represent the disciplinary, methodological, demographic, and career diversities of our field. 

I look forward to making appointments to AERA committees in the coming months and value your input. Please share your recommendations by Friday, November 20. For each recommendation (including self-recommendations), please send the name of the person being recommended, the committee on which the individual brings relevant background to serve, and a one-page biographical vita to president-elect@aera.net. Please use the subject line “AERA Committees - [INSERT NAME(S) OF COMMITTEE(S)].”
