October 2018

The American Educational Research Association is pleased to announce two new options for membership renewal: a discount on regular membership for new doctorate recipients and a two-year membership renewal. These options are now available to AERA members renewing for the 2019 membership year, which opened October 1.

The first option is open to 2018 graduate student members who received or will receive their doctorates between October 2017 and the end of 2018.  Called “Regular – Early Career," it provides a one-time $100 discount on regular membership for one year. Individuals choosing this option will receive a regular 2019 membership for $115. Graduate students who are 2018 members will see this option when they log in to renew for 2019 whether they have received their doctoral degree or not.

The second option allows AERA members to renew for 2019 and 2020 at the same time. This two-year renewal is available to regular members, affiliates, and international affiliates.

“With the discount for new doctorate recipients, we hope that more early career scholars will be able to remain engaged with AERA and reap the benefits of membership,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “And with the two-year renewal option, members can maintain their membership status at current-year rates.”

AERA encourages members to renew online and take advantage of these options, now live on the website.
