Graduate Student Research-in-Progress Roundtables Will Return as a Special Component

The 2024 Annual Meeting will feature the work of graduate and early career scholars through several initiatives and sessions.

“We are excited to continue to emphasize and spotlight the work of our next generation of education research leaders,” said AERA Executive Director Felice Levine. “Our ongoing investment in emerging scholars will advance the field and the communities it serves.”

Graduate Student Research-in-Progress Roundtable Series

The Graduate Student Research-in-Progress Roundtables will return as a special component of the Annual Meeting that will give selected graduate students the opportunity to share and discuss their work in progress on site in Philadelphia. The roundtable series features graduate students who are actively engaged in research but were not yet ready to advance a paper submission in response to the 2024 Call for Submissions. The sessions will be held Friday, April 12, through Sunday, April 14.

Graduate Student and Early Career Poster Sessions

Two special poster sessions will take place in the Philadelphia Convention Center, Exhibit Hall A. The dissertation fellows poster session highlights research supported by the AERA-NSF Grants Program, the AERA Minority Dissertation Fellowship Program in Education Research, and the NAEd/Spencer Dissertation Fellowship Program. The early career scholars’ session features research funded by the AERA-NSF Grants Program, the AERA Fellowship Program on the Study of Deeper Learning, and the NAEd/Spencer Postdoctoral Fellowship Program.
