The 2024 AERA Annual Meeting is a can’t-miss event for the latest in education research and opportunities for intellectual exchange, networking, and professional development across wide-ranging arenas. The deadline for submissions is Monday, July 31,11:59 p.m. ET.
The conference theme, “Dismantling Racial Injustice and Constructing Educational Possibilities: A Call to Action,” asks the education research community to “engage in a massive undertaking of attending to the simultaneous act of dismantling racial injustice and constructing educational possibilities across P–20 systems.”
Like the 2024 Presidential theme itself, the Call for Submissions encourages paper and session submissions that provide diverse theoretical, methodological, and subfield or disciplinary perspectives.
The place-based component of the meeting will be held in Philadelphia on April 11–14; the virtual component will be held on an online platform on April 25–26. All those submitting need to choose whether they wish to present that submission place-based or on the virtual platform, in the event that their submission is accepted. The decision to present in person or virtually cannot be changed after the submission system closes.
