The AERA Professional Development and Training Program is pleased to announce that the 2024 Virtual Research Learning Series courses are available on demand in the AERA Virtual Research Learning Center (VRLC).
The four courses in the 2024 series drew widespread interest and positive evaluations from well over 600 researchers who attended live in June and July. The course recordings and related PowerPoint slides and materials are all available through the VRLC. These on-demand courses, like the live courses, are being offered for just $55 each to promote access for scholars at all career stages.
“We are thrilled to make the courses available on demand to everyone,” said AERA Professional Development Director George L. Wimberly. “The high-quality instruction from an expert faculty of senior researchers and scholars will be of interest to researchers across disciplines, methodologies, and areas of study.”
The four courses include:
The courses feature lectures tailored for a virtual format from leading experts in the field. Instructors share knowledge across multiple topics including quantitative and qualitative research methods, statistical techniques, and use of large-scale datasets and artificial intelligence (AI) in education research. Designed to reach researchers at different skill levels, the courses are intended particularly for graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and other researchers seeking to build new knowledge or skills.
The AERA Professional Development and Training Committee selected these courses to offer a complement of high-quality capacity-building opportunities to researchers. All courses in the virtual series are in a four-hour format. ASL and closed captioning are provided by AERA to maximize the accessibility of the courses.
Registrants can view courses in whole or in part as frequently as they wish. Registrants receive unlimited access to the course videos and materials. Those who have already registered for a live course received an email with login information to gain on-demand access to the recorded course and related course materials through the VRLC without additional cost.
