August 2021

The AERA/ICPSR PEERS Data Hub is holding a no-fee workshop, Learning Analytics and Education Research Data, on September 29, 2:00 p.m.-3:30 p.m. ET [updated time]. The workshop will broadcast live on Zoom. Attendees can register here.

This webinar features four NSF-funded researchers: Ben Motz (Indiana University), Rene Kizilcec (Cornell University), Xu Wang (University of Michigan), and James Russell (Unizin). The webinar will provide an excellent introduction to learning analytics and to the strategies, tools, and procedures for working with learning analytic data.

On August 11, the PEERS Data Hub held a first workshop on using learning analytics to understand and improve STEM education. This second event will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about learning analytics and data sets available to the STEM education research community. While these two PEERS events are topically linked, the institute held in August and this new webinar are quite different in their thrusts and emphases.

We encourage education researchers broadly and those engaged in STEM education research to attend the September 29 webinar for an excellent introduction to learning analytics and to the data assets being actively used by the researchers leading this webinar.
