At the 2025 Annual Meeting, AERA is offering seven Meet the Editors sessions (formerly known as Journal Talks), where attendees are encouraged to meet with AERA journal editors and editors from many other publishers.

The Meet the Editors sessions are designed to facilitate journal editors’ communication on an informal, one-to-one basis with reviewers, authors, and potential contributors. Each registered journal is included in one Meet the Editors session, and journals participating in a session are assigned to a specific time slot. There are no restrictions placed on the number of journal representatives who may occupy an assigned session. 

This year over a hundred journals will participate across the following sessions:

• Meet the Editors 1 on Wednesday, April 23, 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. MT 
• Meet the Editors 2 on Thursday, April 24, 3:35 p.m. to 5:05 p.m. MT
• Meet the Editors 3 on Friday, April 25, 9:50 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. MT 
• Meet the Editors 4 on Friday, April 25, 3:20 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. MT 
• Meet the Editors 5 on Saturday, April 26, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. MT
• Meet the Editors 6 on Saturday, April 26, 3:20 p.m. to 4:50 pm MT 
• Meet the Editors 7 on Sunday, April 27, 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. MT

All Meet the Editors sessions will take place at the Colorado Convention Center, Ballroom Level, Mile High Ballroom 2A and 3A.

Reviewers, authors, and Annual Meeting attendees do not have to register for Meet the Editors sessions; as the sessions are set up as roundtables, anyone wishing to attend can simply stop by to speak with journal representatives about their journals’ aims, scope, submission process, and other topics.
