AERA has released Volume 46 (2022) of Review of Research in Education, edited by Ronald Beghetto (Arizona State University) and Yong Zhao (University of Kansas). Titled “Democratizing Creative Educational Experiences,” the volume includes 13 informative chapters with an introduction from the editors.

As noted by the editors in their introduction:  “Taken together, the contributors to this volume offer new ways to invite and challenge researchers to reconceptualize, study, and document creative educational experiences. We hope that the volume serves as a creative educational experience in itself by offering education researchers a plurality of perspectives, open-ended and nonlinear possibilities, and more promising futures for research aimed at studying, documenting, and developing insights into the ‘plural worlds’ (Langemann, 1989) of creative educational experiences.”

Beghetto and Zhao will also edit Volume 48 (2024) on the topic “Educational Side Effects.”

The next volume of RRE (Volume 47, 2023), “The Science of Learning and Development,”  is being edited by Vivian Gadsden and David Osher (general editors, 2023 and 2025) with Carol D. Lee and Richard Lerner (editors for volume 2023). Click here to submit a proposal.
