Elliot Eisner
I knew Elliot at Madrid, 25 years ago, and from this moment we had a sound friendship, in spite of the distance. The marvelous thing was that we had quite different ideas but our basic feelings were very similar. He had a first class academic career, he was an extraordinary lecturer and he had always the support of a great woman, his wife Ellie. I will remember him all my life.

Peace to his family.
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of my advisor. I wish his family peace and comfort during this difficult time. As we know, Dr. Eisner was a brave and bold scholar who worked tirelessly to make education more humane. May we all honor his memory by trying to do the same.

A scholar's scholar and a giant in the field! His contribution to curriculum will be greatly missed.

Elliot Eisner
A great light has gone out. He brought so much humanity and art to a field that was being hard pressed to be more scientific. He was for me an oasis in a desert wind storm.
