March 2022

To better meet the needs of 2022 Annual Meeting attendees, AERA has shifted attendee COVID vaccination verification from CLEAR to SafeAccess. Importantly, SafeAccess can be used to verify non-U.S. COVID vaccination cards. The SafeAccess certification process is completed through a webpage interface rather than an app; a registration link will be sent to registrants on April 4 who have not already registered through CLEAR.

SafeAccess will also be providing on-site support in San Diego that will help facilitate a streamlined experience for implementing health and safety protocols.

On-site attendees with U.S. vaccination cards who have already registered through CLEAR do not need to take further action. Those who registered through CLEAR will have their vaccination status certification automatically transferred to the SafeAccess system.

AERA Annual Meeting attendees who have not already verified their vaccination status through CLEAR will receive the SafeAccess email from no-reply@safeaccess.app with a unique link to set up a secure portal. It is recommended that attendees who do not see the email in their inbox on April 4 check their spam filters by the end of the day.

“We are pleased to be able provide on-site attendees with U.S. and non-U.S. vaccination cards with this enhanced service for verifying their vaccine status,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “We urge attendees who have not yet confirmed their status to do so as soon as possible to avoid any unforeseen delays onsite in San Diego.”
