The AERA Consortium of University and Research Institutions (AERA-CURI) will hold its Fall Policy Conference on September 28–30 in Washington, DC. The Fall Policy Conference provides a vital opportunity for deans of schools and colleges of education, along with leaders of education research institutions, to address high-priority policy topics, interact with and learn from experts on issues shaping research and higher education environments, connect with Congressional staffs and federal agency leaders, and network as well as collaborate on priority areas of interest.
The conference will begin with a New Deans Orientation and a welcoming dinner on September 28. Full-day programming on September 29 and a half-day session on September 30 will feature panels, small-group discussions, and ongoing dialogue on pressing policy topics and institutional priorities.
“AERA-CURI plays an essential role in supporting and advancing our institutional community, especially during this time when science, scholarship, and higher education are facing significant pressures,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “This conference will provide a space to gain and share insights on the federal landscape, discuss strategy, work collaboratively on common concerns, and elevate our commitment to education research and research capacity building so vital to the public good.”
The Fall Policy Conference serves as the kick-off event for the academic year. Additional AERA-CURI activities and resources include a Spring Policy Conference on the day before the AERA Annual Meeting, Burning Issue Virtual Briefings, and timely updates. Annual membership includes the conferences and all of the activities and benefits described more fully on the AERA-CURI pages of the AERA website. Returning and new members may join for 2025-2026 on the AERA-CURI landing page.
AERA-CURI is open to all universities and education research institutions.
