Tabbye M. Chavous Named New Executive Director of the American Educational  Research AssociationThe online searchable program for the 2026 Annual Meeting opened on January 16. The preliminary program includes all accepted submissions. The entire program with the major invited lectures and sessions will be available at the beginning of February.

The Annual Meeting, centered around the theme "Unforgetting Histories and Imagining Futures: Constructing a New Vision for Education Research," will take place April 8–12, in Los Angeles, CA.

The program can be searched and browsed by day and time, presenter or participant name or affiliation, session title or topic, and paper title or topic.

“The 2026 Annual Meeting program showcases the depth and rigor of education research while bringing together a vibrant community of scholars to explore new ideas and directions for the field,” said AERA Executive Director Tabbye Chavous. “Under the leadership of AERA President Maisha Winn and with the dedication of the Presidential Program Committee and division, SIG, and committee program chairs, the meeting features more than 2,500 sessions that foster dialogue, learning, and collaboration across diverse perspectives.”

The Annual Meeting offers opportunities to engage with leading scholars, explore the latest research, and build professional connections across the field.

In November, AERA launched the 2026 Annual Meeting website, which includes information on registration and housing, key deadlines, conduct policies, program highlights, presenter resources, and more. Early bird registration rates are available through February 13.
