January 2022

First-listed authors of accepted papers for the 2022 Annual Meeting will receive invitations to create their presentations in the AERA 2022 Interactive Presentation Gallery in mid-February. The invitations will come directly from iPosterSessions and will provide authors with detailed instructions for creating presentations.

The invitations will go to all authors whether presenting papers on-site in San Diego or on the virtual annual meeting platform.

The Interactive Presentation Gallery will host and is the home for all poster presentations. Authors of papers presented in symposia, paper sessions, roundtables, or structured poster sessions may use the gallery to host their presentation as well. In 2021, more than 3,000 paper presentations benefitted from locating their work in the gallery.

Authors using the gallery have the opportunity to create a dynamic web-based presentation or they can simply upload a PDF of their Power Point (or other presentation mode) and still have the benefit of all of the other advantages of the gallery. New this year, among other features, is that all presentations in the gallery will receive a digital object identifier (DOI), which will make work more readily citable and discoverable and authenticate the time and date of presentation.

iPoster, the vendor that developed the web-based platform and operates the Interactive Presentation Gallery, provides excellent, timely, user-friendly support on its creation site. In addition, AERA will be offering online training sessions in early March (date to be announced) that will be recorded and available on the AERA website.

Those individuals presenting posters on-site in San Diego will be able to show their interactive presentations on 41-inch high-definition screens with touch controls. Poster authors presenting on the virtual platform will be able to live chat or use their video provider at the time scheduled for their official poster presentation.

The 2021 Annual Meeting Interactive Presentation Gallery is now open access to all visitors. As noted above, the 2021 gallery is home to presentations of over 3,000 papers presented at the 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting. The 2020 Annual Meeting Interactive Presentation Gallery, AERA’s first product on this type, is also available for viewing with over 450 papers from a meeting that was cancelled due to COVID-19.

For more information about the gallery, visit the Interactive Presentation Gallery page on the AERA website.
