AERA is urging members and other friends of education research, as part of their end-of-year giving, to help the association double the amount of funding available to help graduate students with demonstrated need who wish to participate in the Annual Meeting.
The 2025 Annual Meeting Graduate Student Assistance Fund provides support for AERA graduate student members who wish to attend the 2025 Annual Meeting but face financial challenges in doing so. Since the start of the program two years ago, the Annual Meeting Graduate Student Assistance Fund has been able to support students from more than 170 institutions.
AERA has pledged $25,000 from its operating budget to provide 50 awards per year. With the support of the education research community, the number of awards can be doubled.
“The AERA Annual Meeting is a crucial catalyst for expanding one’s knowledge and provides career-long collaboration and community,” said AERA Executive Director Felice J. Levine. “We are asking our members, partners, and supporters to step in and help to make these opportunities available to the next generation of researchers and field leaders.”
