This month, Marilyn Cochran-Smith of Boston College and Kenneth Zeichner of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, co-editors of Studying Teacher Education: The Report of the AERA Panel on Research and Teacher Education, will receive the Outstanding Publications Award, presented by the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE).

Professors Cochran-Smith and Zeichner will be given the award during AACTE's 58th Annual Meeting, set for January 29 to February 1, 2006 in San Diego. The AACTE Committee on Publications and the Journal of Teacher Education sponsor the award, and described Studying Teacher Education as a landmark work "that will serve as a guide to the profession for years to come."
