American Association for University Professors- purpose is to advance academic freedom and shared governance, to define fundamental professional values and standards for higher education, and to ensure higher education's contribution to the common good.

American College Personnel Association- the leading student affairs Association that advances student affairs and engages students for a lifetime of learning and discovery. This association offers grants and fellowships to graduate students.

Association for Institutional Research- advance research that will improve the understanding, planning, and operation of higher education institutions. This association offers grants for dissertation work.

Association for the Study of Higher Education- promotes collaboration among its members and others engaged in the study of higher education through research, conferences, and publications, including its highly regarded journal, The Review of Higher Education. This association offers dissertation fellowships.

Association of American Colleges & Universities- the leading national association concerned with the quality, vitality, and public standing of undergraduate liberal education.

Association of Universities and College of Canada- to facilitate the development of public policy on higher education and to encourage cooperation among universities and governments, industry, communities, and institutions in other countries.

Center for Academic Integrity- an international center that provides a forum to identify, affirm, and promote the values of academic integrity among students, faculty, teachers, and administrators.

International Leadership Association- the global network for all those who practice, study and teach leadership.

National Association of Graduate-Professional Students- acts as a clearinghouse for graduate and professional student organizations, serves as an advocacy group for graduate-professional student needs and rights at all levels, addresses a broad range of issues via our national committees.

National Association of Student Personnel Administrators- provides professional development, promotes exemplary practices, and is a leader in policy development. This association offers grants and fellowships for graduate students.

Professional and Organizational Development Network in Higher Education (POD Network)- this organization develops and supports practitioners and leaders in higher education dedicated to enhancing learning and teaching.

Society for Research into Higher Education- aims to improve the quality of higher education through the encouragement of debate and publication on issues of policy, on the organization and management of higher education institutions, and on the curriculum, teaching, and learning methods.

Society for Values in Higher Education- committed to promoting intellectual and professional excellence, with a genuine and active concern for the ethical dimensions of higher education.
