AAPE SIG involvement opportunities are listed below:

• Session Paper Reviewer
  • The opportunity to volunteer to be a reviewer is during April and May. Submissions are reviewed beginning in August.
• AAPE SIG Paper Awards Winner
  • The SIG has two paper awards, Outstanding Graduate Student Research Award & Distinguished Conference Paper Award, which are awarded annually. More details about each award are provided under the AAPE Award tab on our website.
• Paper Awards Committee
  • This committee selects the winning paper for each of the SIG paper awards. A call for committee member nominations will be sent in November 2023. The award review process will take place in January 2024.
• Conference Registration Sponsorships
  • As available, SIG officers will solicit applications for funding to support registration fees for early career professionals and registration fees and/or travel costs for graduate students. Eligible SIG members will be notified if these funds are available.
• Future Officer
  • The incoming officer election process will begin in the Fall of 2024 with a call for officer nominations. Each position will benefit from shadowing the current officers for a year, which is a great way to learn the ropes! 
• Edited Book Series
  • AAPE curates a book series titled "Contemporary Issues in Accreditation, Assessment, and Program Evaluation in Educator Preparation." Please see the AAPE Publication tab on our website.  
• Journal
