Biography: Dr. Anica G Bowe is an Assistant Professor at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She earned a Ph.D. in Education Psychology with a focus in Quantitative Methods in Education. As a cross-cultural psychologist, Anica’s interests are in equitable outcomes for immigrant youth, community engagement in urban communities, education development of K-12 systems within the Caribbean, and the cultural sensitivity of scales found within large-scale databases. Her research has been published in the journals of Psychological Assessment, Evaluation & Program Planning, Journal of Adolescence, Urban Education, International Journal of Educational Development, and Journal of Education Development in the Caribbean among others. Dr. Bowe is a native of The Bahamas. As the current Chair of CASE SIG, she endeavors to strengthen the collaborative efforts between its members, showcase their collective expertise, and create opportunities for more active roles the membership can take on to support the growth and vitality of the SIG.
