SIG Purpose: "AERA’s SIG on Classroom Assessment aims to generate interest and focus on understanding and improving assessment in classrooms to support teaching and learning research, policy, practice, and the public for student success!"

SIG Theme: "Classroom Assessment for Student Success: Research, Policy, Practice, and the Public"

  • Research: What do we know as a field and what do we need to learn more about?
  • Policy: How can classrooms, schools, districts, states/provinces, and nations support teachers’ use of high-quality classroom assessment through policy?
  • Practice: What are essential practices teachers must use to ensure all students can be successful? What does it look like under various conditions?
  • Public: What does the public need to know about classroom assessment in schools? How can high-quality classroom assessment become well understood and our research recognized as the basis for premium education?"

 

 
 
SIG Communication -- Newsletter

SIG members receive a brief newsletter about 10 times during the year. We are grateful that our graduate student leaders help with this endeavor.
