AERA FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM ON THE STUDY OF DEEPER LEARNING - Application Deadline is Friday, June 10, 2016:

The American Educational Research Association (AERA) invites proposals from early career education researchers and postdoctoral scholars to enhance the use of the Deeper Learning dataset. The AERA Fellowship Program on the Study of Deeper Learning (AERA-SDL) supports postdoctoral and early career scholars in education research and thereby fosters excellence and rigor in the next generation of faculty members, research scientists, and scholars examining education topics and issues. The AERA-SDL permits undertaking research projects using the Deeper Learning data and the design and implementation of professional development and training around these data. The Deeper Learning data collected by the American Institutes for Research (AIR) includes a wealth of information from schools, students, and teachers at a sample of Deeper Learning network high schools and non-network high schools. AIR scholars and scientists with expertise on the Deeper Learning data are collaborating with AERA in this Fellowship Program. This Program is supported by The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.   You may access the Call for Proposals and Informational Webinar here!

Please direct any questions about the AERA-SDL fellowship program to fellowships@aera.net

NERA CALL FOR PROPOSALS:

Dear NERA Colleagues,

We are excited to announce that the NERA 2016 proposal submission system is now open for submissions. You can submit proposals for individual paper, information blitz, roundtable, and poster forums as well as theme-based paper sessions/symposia. The proposal system will be open through Friday, June 3, 2016 (11:59 pm EDT).

Follow the updated links below for this year’s call for proposals, submission system, and a call for teacher researchers.

As you all know, NERA is a volunteer-run organization, so we need your help to ensure a high-quality conference in October. To that end, we are asking that members sign up to serve as proposal reviewers, which can be done in the Members section of the NERA website at the following link: https://www.viethconsulting.com/members/proposals/prop_review_committee.php

You will be prompted for your member name and password if you are not already logged into the website. If you have any further questions, please contact us at NERAConferenceChairs@gmail.com. We look forward to seeing everyone at NERA in October!

Thank You,

Molly Faulkner-Bond, UMass Amherst
Joshua Marland, Highlander Institute
Scott Monroe, UMass Amherst

CALL FOR REVIEWERS:

The American Educational Research Association (AERA) is seeking volunteers to serve as peer reviewers for submissions for the 2017 AERA Annual Meeting. A quality peer review system is the bedrock for a quality annual meeting, and thus we encourage persons with depth of research expertise to volunteer to review and respond to this call.

The system is now open to register as a volunteer reviewer. The deadline to volunteer is May 11, 2016. Individuals interested in being considered as peer reviewers are encouraged to volunteer for specific units (divisions, SIGs, or committees) through the AERA online program portal. More information can be found at aera.net.
