Featured with the Annual Meeting poster sessions this year are e-Lightening Ed-Talks. Approximately 300 authors of papers in poster sessions will showcase their work in brief, engaging presentations. These rapid-fire talks will be held throughout the day on every day of the meeting in the Electronic Poster Hall on three stages. They will all be chaired by leading scholars.

Ed-Talk presenters are encouraged to register for a training session on Thursday, April 4, from 3 pm to 4 pm.

Each session will feature 4-to-5-minute-long presentations featuring cutting-edge research on a diverse range of education topics. The sessions will touch on major issues in education equity, student learning, opportunities for disadvantaged students, inclusive education practices, and much more.

The e-Lightening Ed-Talks are designed to be an additional opportunity for presenters during their poster time slots. Following each talk, presenters will be available for questions at their assigned poster location in the Electronic Poster Hall.

“We are thrilled to offer this new special feature at the Annual Meeting,” said AERA Executive Director Felice Levine. “This exciting mode of presentation provides a wonderful opportunity for presenters to share their scholarship to even broader audiences at the conference.”

Presenters include selected authors with papers accepted in a poster session who have indicated an interest in potentially giving brief e-Lightening Ed-Talks.
