Sheila Macrine, Ph.D., is a Professor at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Her research focuses on two areas: 1) connecting the cultural, political, and institutional contexts of critical pedagogy as they relate to the public sphere, democratic education and social imagination and 2) developing alternative assessments students with differences including CLD population. She consider herself a critical feminist and have published numerous articles and a number of books including: Critical Pedagogy in Uncertain Times: Hope and Possibilities.
