Frantz Fanon Dissertation Award

This award is named in honor of Frantz Fanon and his significant and enduring scholarship informing decolonial, postcolonial, and anti-colonial studies. Fanon's work is well known for his psycho-social analysis of colonialism in its intersections with the affective, the body, and immediacies of colonial experiences around the world. This recognition is made to doctoral students whose research demonstrates a political and ethical commitment to the unfinished project of decolonization and engages the challenges and possibilities of ongoing decolonization, global justice, and solidarity in education.
