Dr. Rubén Garza, Distinguished Paper Award Chair

Rubén Garza is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the College of Education at Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas. His involvement as a past Chair, Program Chair, and recently as Chair of the Distinguished Paper Award afforded him an opportunity to provide leadership to our SIG in different positions. As a retiree, his involvement continues with the SIG as Chair of the Distinguished Paper Award. The Mentorship and Mentoring Practices SIG provided him with an opportunity to network and collaborate with other educators and researchers both nationally and internationally on research projects. Whether you are a graduate student, an established or novice faculty member, you can get involved by volunteering to serve on the SIG’s committees or running for office. National service always looks good on any vitae.
