Invitation to the Conference

On behalf of the University of New Mexico, we invite you and your colleagues to the 17th Annual Mentoring Conference.

The conference, "Inclusive Developmental Networks: Building Transformative Communities Through Effective Mentoring," will occur from Monday, Oct 21, through Friday, Oct 25, 2024. The conference will be held in the Student Union Building at the University of New Mexico, Main Campus, Albuquerque, NM.

This five-day conference includes over 150 Peer-Reviewed paper presentations, 11 plenary sessions, 6 in-depth workshops, 3 facilitated learning sessions, and 2 networking sessions. Our plenary speakers are field-leading professionals who have spent their careers cultivating mentoring in various respects. Our 6 workshops are a 6-hour deep dive into mentoring, and the topics vary from managing mentoring programs to developing individual mentoring skills. Our facilitated learning sessions and networking sessions allow participants to gain connections in the greater mentoring community and build their developmental networks.

The concurrent presentations are all based on peer-reviewed research, literature review, or practical application studies, presented by the authors themselves. The papers are in many strands, including Higher Education, Health Sciences, Arts, Business, Faculty and Staff, Humanities, and STEM. They cover topics as diverse as the authors themselves, all related to Mentoring, Coaching, Leadership, or a combination of those fields. Some seek to promote best practices, some suggest program models, and some study the long-term effects of mentoring. All expand the field of mentoring and coaching.

The conference is on the vibrant University of New Mexico main campus. Located about 20 minutes away from the airport, the Sandia foothills, and the city center, it allows you to explore all Albuquerque has to offer.

This conference is a premiere opportunity to study mentoring, coaching, and leadership evidence-based theory and practice. We sincerely hope you will join us on this occasion of learning.
