The purpose of the AERA Classroom Observation SIG is to provide a forum for researchers and others who develop, validate, or use classroom observation systems to prepare and support teachers and improve teaching and learning across a variety of educational contexts through the use of classroom observation systems or observation techniques.
Welcome to the AERA Classroom Observation SIG! We exist as a special interest group to improve teaching and learning through classroom observations. We want to expand our reach as a SIG - to help scholars and educators discover new ways of observing teaching to improve it.
