Goals of the Open Scholarship SIG are

To investigate and promote the effectiveness and use of open scholarship and its application to education research. Serve as a forum for: 

1.) sharing and developing open scholarship research practices
2.) methods for teaching open scholarship principles and practices, and 
3) meta-scientific educational research
4) assessing applicability and relevance of open scholarship practices across all methodological approaches in education

The Open Scholarship SIG aims to serve as a forum for research, instruction, discussion, and problem-solving as well as a mechanism for community-building for scholars interested in incorporating open scholarship practices into education research and teaching. We welcome all educational disciplines, specialized research areas, and methodological approaches. The Open Scholarship SIG will also be the natural venue within the AERA for sharing meta-scientific educational research. Through collaboration with other SIGs and Divisions within AERA to promote Open Scholarship practices within the educational research community. Whether you are new to open scholarship practices or leading the field in this work, we hope you will join us!
