Open scholarship, also referred to as open science or open research, refers to a set of principles, practices, and cultural norms designed to increase the truth-value, trustworthiness, transparency, and accuracy of scholarly output. Our research goals revolve around investigating best practices in implementing open scholarship practices in education and developing new mechanisms for implementing open scholarship principles in education research and practice.
By open scholarship, we mean practices like: publishing open access to remove barriers between our work and those who will consume it; sharing materials and data; preregistration, registered reports, replication, and more.
