The editorial team seeks creative and critical work by all those engaged with service learning, community engagement, and/or civic education, be it as an undergraduate or graduate student, as faculty or staff, or as a professional within the community (of particular interest are the diverse experiences and viewpoints of school board members, library media specialists, and parents). We invite chapters for our newly titled Emerald book series, Advances in Experiential Education and Community Engagement Research, that engage with the intersections of legislation, policy, and curriculum, particularly as many schools and libraries see a rise in book bans, challenges to curriculum content, and policies that outline whose histories can be taught in schools.
Please submit a brief, detailed description of your chapter proposal; if the editorial team selects your proposal, you will be invited to submit your full chapter, which will then be sent to our reviewers.

Due Date: December 31, 2025. 150-200 words appreciated.
