Since 1996, members of the self-study community have met every two years at the Queen’s University International Study Centre  at Herstmonceux Castle, U.K. The “Castle Conference” provides a significant opportunity for both scholarship and building community. Our gathering at the Castle in August of 2026 was filled with enriching sessions, generative discussions, and camaraderie. Our next Castle Conference is expected to be held in 2028.
