Welcome everyone to the Measurement and Assessment in Higher Education Special Interest Group. This topic has been a passion of mine for my entire professional life and I truly enjoy learning more about measurement and assessment, and helping ensure others gain the knowledge they are seeking in the field. Our SIG represents a community of hundreds of scholars from around the world with a similar passion, or at least a strong interest, in measurement and assessment in higher education. Topics of research from our sessions at the most recent AERA conference include: emergency examinations during a pandemic, performance-based assessments, differential performance of critical thinking and written communication skills, continuous formative assessment as predictors for achievement, and how various forms of feedback impacts learning. I was able to attend most of the sessions and they were excellent!

These examples just scratch the surface of higher education contexts touched by measurement and assessment. I look forward to my time a chair learning more about the vast and varied ways measurement and assessment are utilized in higher education. Thank you for your interest and please feel free to contact me at anytime!
