Looking to get involved with SIG ATL? Here are some ways you can connect with us and our initiatives!

1) Year Round: Follow us on LinkedIn, tag us, and engage with our posts: https://www.linkedin.com/in/aera-sig-7-atl-9a8888437/

2) Year Round: Make sure to officially join SIG-007 ATL as a member, and keep your membership renewed and current. Either select SIG-ATL when you renew your membership, or if your membership is current, complete the following steps: Log in to AERA’s membership portal, and select “Add a Division or SIG” in the left-hand menu. This is the option AERA currently directs existing members to use to add a SIG. Choose “Advanced Technologies for Learning” (SIG #7) and follow the prompts to complete your purchase.

3) Year Round: Attend the SIG ATL Speaker series monthly, volunteer to be a speaker in the series, and suggest speakers for the series. Contact the SIG Chair for more information!

4) April/May/June: Sign up to be a reviewer for SIG-ATL! We need reviewers who work with a wide variety of technologies, in a wide variety of content areas, using a diverse array of methods. Go to AERA’s Login page and enter the Annual Meeting online program portal for the relevant year. During the recruitment window, choose “Volunteer to Be a Reviewer.” Select Advanced Technologies for Learning as the SIG to review for, and complete the questions about research background and experience. Individuals may volunteer for more than one unit.

5) July: Submit your work to SIG-ATL when you submit to the AERA Annual Meeting! In the Submitter menu, choose “Submit a Paper or Session Submission to the AERA Annual Meeting.” Select Advanced Technologies for Learning as the receiving SIG.

6) August/September: Volunteer to be a Chair or Discussant for one of our SIG sessions at AERA! Go to AERA’s Login page and enter the Annual Meeting online program portal for the relevant year. During the recruitment window, choose the chair/discussant volunteer option.  Select "Advanced Technologies for Learning" as the unit you would like to serve, indicate your interest in chairing and/or discussing, and complete the requested information about your research background and expertise. Graduate students may volunteer when they have appropriate expertise.

7) August/September: Run for a SIG-ATL office as Graduate Student Representative (coming soon), Treasurer/Secretary, or one of our SIG leadership positions. Email the current SIG Chair before the election deadline to have your name put on the ballot!

8) August/September: Volunteer to be an emergency reviewer for SIG ATL proposals, if additional coverage is needed. Email the SIG Program Chair to volunteer.

9) December/January: Engage with our SIG awards and mentoring program. Nominate an Early Career Scholar for our SIG Early Career Award (coming soon). Volunteer to be a mentor to a graduate student at the AERA Annual Meeting. If you are a graduate student, apply to be mentored at the AERA Annual Meeting. Contact the current SIG Chair for more information.

10) January/February: Cast your vote for our SIG's leadership in the annual election. SIG elections take place within the AERA-wide election. Members vote using a personalized electronic ballot sent by email. The ballot includes the association-wide, division, and SIG elections for which that member is eligible.

11) April: Attend SIG-ATL sessions at the AERA Annual Meeting, as well as the SIG-ATL Business Meeting and Reception. Share information about sessions on social media, tagging SIG-ATL.
