Adult Literacy Education: The International Journal of Literacy, Language, and Numeracy is looking for a new editorial team. The deadline to submit a team's interest is December 31, 2024. The appointed team will start July 1, 2025.

The editorial team will be responsible for the editorial supervision and continuing intellectual development of a journal that provides scholarly leadership in the field of adult basic education and secondary education and transitions to college and career programs. The journal provides a forum representing diversity of theory, research design, methodology, and practice.
The editorial team will make all decisions related to scope and content of published articles, supervision of manuscript receipt, and editorial review. The editorial team will establish, implement, and maintain a timely review process and work with ProLiteracy to establish and implement a timely, effective system for editing, proofing, and production.
The editorial team will maintain independence related to manuscript submissions and approval and work collaboratively with ProLiteracy to establish the content direction, special issue topics, and overall research agenda.
The editorial team may make policy, structural, or personnel changes upon consultation with and approval from ProLiteracy. ProLiteracy shall maintain all fiscal responsibility.
The new editorial team will work with the current editorial team to ensure a smooth transition and the continuation of a good working relationship with ProLiteracy. This transition process will include attention to and revision of (if appropriate) the panel of consulting editors.
