What is the 2024 Annual Meeting theme?
The theme for 2024 is “Dismantling Racial Injustice and Constructing Educational Possibilities: A Call to Action.”

When and where will the 2024 Annual Meeting take place?
The meeting will be held in Philadelphia April 11 through April 14.

The primary site of the Annual Meeting in Philadelphia is the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The headquarter hotel where additional sessions will be held is the Philadelphia Marriott Downtown.

Will there be a virtual component of the meeting?
Due to a very low number of virtual submissions, the AERA Executive Board decided on August 18, 2023, to cancel the virtual component of the meeting scheduled for April 25-26. An email was sent to virtual submitters with the opportunity to decide how they wish their work to be considered.  Tips for 2024 Annual Meeting virtual component submitters are also available on the AERA website.

When are submissions due?
Submissions were due on July 31, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. PT.

When do submitters find out if their papers were accepted?
Notifications were sent on November 10, 2023. 

When do registration and housing open?
Registration and housing will open the week of December 18, 2023.

What's new at the 2024 Annual Meeting?

New for 2024, e-Lightening Ed-Talks will be a special feature of the AERA program. At the time of submission, authors who submitted a paper for a poster session could indicate interest in also presenting it in the form of a brief e-Lightening Ed-Talk. Authors of papers accepted for Ed-Talks will receive guidance on the preparation of such talks.
