Take Care and Be Healthy and Safe – Emergency Phone Numbers AERA’s top priority is the health, safety, and wellbeing of all attendees at the Annual Meeting, as well as those who serve and support attendees at the conference. If emergency or medical assistance is required at your hotel, it is recommended that you contact the hotel operator by dialing “0” from your hotel room or any house phone first before dialing 911; this allows the facility to provide you direct assistance while waiting for the emergency services. If you need non-emergency medical assistance, the hotel can provide the names of physicians on call and direct you to local pharmacies. For emergencies at the LA Convention Center, please dial 3000 from a house phone. It is important that LA Convention Center Security coordinate with 911 for swift entry into the nearest access point at the center.
Review the Annual Meeting Conduct Guidelines to Promote an Inclusive and Productive Environment AERA is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, welcoming, and productive environment for all AERA meetings and events. AERA expects that activities held under its auspices promote the full engagement and belonging of all attendees, and are free of harassment, unwelcoming or exclusionary conduct, and discriminatory actions or innuendo. We also expect those speaking at or leading such activities or those participating in them to value and support a diverse, inclusive community. Review meeting “do’s” and “don’ts” and learn how to report unwelcoming behavior in the Conduct Policy Guidelines and in the AERA 2026 app under “Policies and Support.” If you have a concern about unwelcoming behavior, you can make a report to the Executive Director at ethics@aera.net or (202) 238-3222.
AERA Annual Meeting Ombuds Program AERA provides all individuals participating in or attending the AERA Annual Meeting with Ombuds support that is independent of AERA for those seeking to address a matter and potentially learn about options for their concerns. To contact the AERA Annual Meeting Ombuds, email aeraombuds@gmail.com or call (202) 505-3356.
