Registration Policies

Add to or Update An Existing Registration​

After you have registered, to add to or edit your registration log in to your AERA account and click ‘My AERA’ at the top of the page. On the ‘My AERA’ page, scroll down to the ‘2024 Annual Meeting’. Click ‘View and Add Events to Existing Registration’. For additional registration assistance, please contact the AERA Registration Support Team at registration@aera.net or call 202-238-3200 and select Option 3.


Registration Payment

Registration fees may be charged to American Express, MasterCard, or VISA. Purchase orders are not accepted as payment. Make checks for registration payable to AERA in U.S. dollars, drawn on a U.S. bank. No registration will be processed without applicable payment.


Cancellation and Refunds

Registration fees and/or Professional Development course fees will be refunded, less a $25 service charge, if a written cancellation request is received by no later than 11:59 pm (ET) on February 26, 2024. Written requests can be e-mailed to registration@aera.net. Cancellation and refund request for registration and Professional Development courses will not be made after February 26, 2024. It is the policy of AERA and NCME that registration is not transferable. For assistance, please contact the AERA Registration Support Team at registration@aera.net or call 202-238-3200 and select Option 3.


Badges

Badges must be worn by all who attend the meeting to gain admission to all events, including sessions and the Exhibit Hall. All attendees must pre-register and use express pass registration and pick their badge up on-site. AERA will not mail badges in advance. You will use your smartphone to scan the bar code in the AERA24 app at the on-site kiosk. Once on-site, there will be a $5 replacement fee for lost badges.


Guest Registration

Guest registration is designed for the spouse, domestic partner, or family member of the registrant. The guest may visit the exhibits and attend the session in which the registrant is a participant. Guest registration is not applicable for professionals (including students) in the field of education research who will be attending sessions or presenting papers.
