Welcome to the AERA REAPA SIG website! On behalf of the SIG leadership team, thank you for visiting our website and getting to know the SIG. We are here to support the scholarly community focused on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in education and seek to create bridges between scholarship and practice.

In 2018-2019, we focused on increasing our program submissions and, thanks to the hard work of the Program Co-Chairs, provided incredible sessions led by scholars and practitioners at the national conference. Our business meeting at AERA 2019 really amplified the voices of those who identify as Pilipinx and Desi/American through acknowledgement of awards and contributions as well as a critical panel about identity and education.

In 2019-2020, we hope to increase our program submissions and look forward to partnering with community organizations in the San Francisco area for AERA 2020. We are focused on providing greater support to our graduate student community, and will be offering more ways to connect and to engage in positive socialization around scholarship, activism, teaching, and research.

Please connect with us via social media @REAPA_SIG or via Facebook at facebook.com/groups/aera.reapa
