Hello Learning Sciences Community!
It is my honor to serve as the chair of the Learning Sciences SIG this year, working alongside Kathryn Lanouette as Program Chair, Xintian Tu-Shea as Secretary/Treasurer, and Natalie R. Davis as Secretary/ Treasurer-Elect.
The SIG LS is a vibrant and interdisciplinary community of scholars who are interested in learning across diverse settings, populations, and forms of participation. Our members bring together a wide range of theoretical perspectives, methodological approaches, and research traditions, all with a shared commitment to better understanding learning and designing more meaningful, equitable, and inclusive learning experiences.
In the coming year, I hope we can continue to strengthen our connections, create more opportunities for members to share their work, and support scholars at different career stages. I also hope the SIG can remain a welcoming space for new ideas, thoughtful dialogue, collaboration, and collective growth. Thank you for being part of this community. I look forward to learning from you, working with you, and making this SIG a warm harbor where all LS researchers feel welcomed, supported, and connected.
Cheers,
