The Montessori Education SIG was established in 2019 with a mission to build a research-oriented scholarly community through engaging Montessori research with the broader discipline of education. The purpose of the SIG is to improve the quality and quantity of objective, empirical research to advance research and knowledge about Montessori education.
Additionally, the SIG aims to connect educational researchers who concentrate their work on Montessori education to larger dialogues within the discipline and to promote critical perspectives and inform new areas of inquiry.
