2026 Submissions The submission deadline was August 1. Submission notifications will be sent on November 7.
Major Speakers Announced Two prominent speakers have been announced. Bryan Brayboy (Northwestern University) will deliver the AERA Distinguished Lecture. Bianca Baldridge (Harvard Graduate School) will give the AERA Wallace Foundation Distinguished Lecture. Stay tuned as other major speakers and sessions are announced.
Meeting Theme The 2026 Annual Meeting theme for 2026 is “Unforgetting Histories and Imagining Futures: Constructing a New Vision for Education Research.”
Meeting Design The 2026 Annual Meeting design features the Sankofa bird—an Akan symbol of learning from the past to build the future—capturing this year’s theme of unforgetting histories while envisioning new possibilities for education research.
