Know Before You Go

We are here to help you plan ahead to ensure the 2022 AERA Annual Meeting is professionally rewarding for you. Please carefully review and take action on the following critical attendee items:

  1. Register for the Annual Meeting
If you have not done so already, be sure to register now. You must be registered to attend the meeting virtually or in-person.

  2. Claim Your Online Platform Account
It is imperative you claim your online platform account as soon as possible. The platform serves as the web-based Annual Meeting hub for all meeting participants (place-based and virtual) and houses all the meeting program content and onsite San Diego experience information.

Don’t wait! It takes about 20 minutes for your claimed account to integrate into the system. Your personalized link to claim your account was e-mailed to you after you registered. If you registered for the meeting and have not received your link, email support@pathable.com.

  3. Download the 2022 AERA Annual Meeting App to gain instant access to the virtual meeting from your mobile devices. (Search AERA 2022 in the Apple App store or Google Play Store). The app, along with the virtual platform, will serve as the program for the Annual Meeting.

  4. Get Your Digital Health Pass from SafeAccess (place-based attendees only)
Register your vaccination status with SafeAccess before traveling to San Diego (place-based attendees only) to receive your Digital Health Pass. On April 1, AERA transitioned from CLEAR to SafeAccess as the vendor responsible for confirming the vaccination status of on-site attendees. On-site attendees who have already registered with CLEAR do not need to take any further action. For assistance, email support@safeaccess.app. The AERA vaccination webpage has full details.

As part of the entry requirements to the place-based 2022 AERA Annual Meeting, all attendees must be fully vaccinated (including booster if eligible) to attend in person.

  5. Check Out the Virtual Platform and i-Presentation Resources
Be sure to review these resource materials to prepare for presenting, chairing, exhibiting, and using the virtual platform. View videos from training webinars for presenters who are using the AERA i-Presentation platform for their paper presentations. For technical support with the virtual platform, email: support@pathable.com. For technical support with i-Presentation, email support@ipostersessions.com.

  6. Bring Your Masks and Headphones!  (place-based attendees only)
All place-based attendees are required to wear a mask indoors at all AERA sessions and events, except when eating or drinking. This policy will be enforced even if the city of San Diego does not have a masking mandate. Also, don’t forget your headphones or earbuds to join virtual sessions from San Diego. There will be ample connectivity and spaces available to set up your laptop or device as part of the meeting (no need to run back to your hotel room!).
