Sharon A. O’Connor-Petruso, Ed.D.
City University of New York, Brooklyn College

I am pleased to welcome new and returning International Studies members to San Antonio!

During these atypical times we have the opportunity "once again" to be part of our colleagues' innovative and robust research from around the world. We had 139 submissions and 74 accepted proposals.  Please come to our Business Meeting Saturday, April 29th from 6:30 - 8:00pm at the San Antonio Mariott Rivercenter, third floor - Conference Room #12. Reception on the water to follow.

Congratulations to Professors' Bong Gee Jang - Syracuse University, Hyonsuk Cho - University of North Dakota, & Peter Wiens - University of Nevada-Las Vegas who will present their paper (Best Paper Award) entitled "The Relationship Between Teaching Efficiency and Teaching Quality of EFL Teachers in Niger."

I would also like to announce and thank our new Webmaster, Frank Fonseca from the American Institutes for Research, who rebuilt our Web page at the 11th hour. I am also welcoming our new International Studies Photographer, Ms. Maria Sun, with over thirty years of international corporate experience.

Final accolades go to our Awards Committee, Professors' Johanna Lasonen - University of South Florida, James R. Campbell - St. John's University, and Manuel Martinez-Pons - City University of New York at Brooklyn College.

I am looking forward to seeing you all in San Antonio and sharing in your research!

Warmest regards,

Sharon O’Connor-Petruso, Ed.D
